This large, stunningly rich orange orpiment specimen with contrasting yellow around the edges comes on a 4"L x 4"W x 1/2"H lucite base for perfect display and brings a sparkling luster. A large, gorgeously clear and gemmy barite crystal accents the lower right of the piece for extra visual fascination. Orpiment - historically used as a pigment for painting - is a rare compound often found in association with realgar, and is prized by collectors for its rich hues and its crystal formations.
