This is the intact and un-repaired fossilized lower jaw and teeth of a genuine woolly rhinoceros. An extinct mammal with similarities to the woolly mammoth and two large facial horns made of keratin, the woolly rhinoceros walked the earth in current-day Europe and parts of Asia. These large, hairy herbivores lived as long ago as 3.6 million years and evidence has been uncovered that they survived up until as recently as 12,000 years ago. This is an excellent display piece in fantastic condition.
