Vaca Muerta Meteorite in Collector’s Box
Discovered in 1861 in the Atacama Desert in Chili – one of the harshest environments on the planet – this meteorite is considered to be one of the most stable of the Mesosiderite class of stony-iron meteorites. Vaca Muerta, its namesake – the dry riverbed near where it was found – means “dead cow”.
