Stegosaurus Tail Spike // 18" Long

This rare fossil is the well-defined, well-preserved tail spike of a Stegosaurus from the Jurassic period approximately 145-196 million years ago. Seldom will you come across such a complete specimen. 100% of the bone appears to be present, with restoration mainly limited to the bottom half of the piece and with minimal stabilization. This specimen was unearthed in the Morrison Formation in Wyoming and comes on a custom metal stand with informational plaque. The cube pictured measures 1" in diameter and is not included.
