Hand-Carved Malachite Elephant // 327 Grams

This luscious green copper carbonate mineral specimen from the DRC has been expertly hand-carved into an intricately detailed elephant and hand-polished to a brilliant luster to enhance its gorgeous colors and banding. Malachite was historically used as a pigment for painting and was a popular stone in ancient Egypt. This excellent quality carving displays sought-after natural patterning including bullseyes. The cube pictured measures 1" in diameter and does not come with the carving.
