This museum-worthy large cabinet specimen comes out of Jalgaon, India: one of the most renowned localities for Zeolite minerals. Featuring a dramatic central ridge of deep green Apophyllite crystals, this piece stands out for its exceptional color saturation, size, and clarity – sought-after qualities rarely seen to such degree in specimens from this region, especially in today’s market.
The Apophyllite crystals are perfectly terminated, arranged in a radiant formation that draws the eye down the center of the piece. Nestled at the base are prominent, contrasting peach-pink bowtie Stilbites adding texture and chromatic harmony to the composition.
Acquired over 15 years ago, this specimen represents a time when pieces of this caliber were still surfacing in India. Its combination of size, form, and color make it not only rare but one of the finest Apophyllites to come out of Jalgaon.
