Dioptase // Ver. 5

The name “dioptase” comes from Greek and references the visibility of cleavage plains within the translucent, brilliantly emerald green crystals of this copper cyclosilicate mineral. This specimen boasts a treasure trove of incredibly lustrous and deeply-hued green dioptase crystals emerging from the face of a rocky matrix. A unique and visually arresting find for the discerning collector. The cube in the picture is approximately one centimeter.
