Astro West Fine Minerals
Caledonite // 205 Grams
This rare blue to bluish-green mineral grows as a secondary mineral in oxidized copper-lead deposits. It is named for Caledonia, the old Latin/Roman tem for the first known source of the mineral: the Highlands of Scotland, or more specifically the Leadhills in Strathclyde (Lanarkshire). Caledonite is piezoelectric, meaning it accumulates a charge in response to pressure.
