Barite on Orpiment From Russia

This large, stunningly rich orange orpiment specimen with contrasting yellow around the edges comes on a 4″L x 4″W x 1/2″H lucite base for perfect display and brings a sparkling luster. A large, gorgeously clear and gemmy barite crystal accents the lower right of the piece for extra visual fascination. Orpiment – historically used as a pigment for painting – is a rare compound often found in association with realgar, and is prized by collectors for its rich hues and its crystal formations.
