Astro West Fine Minerals
A historic old classic, these Barites are immediately recognizable as survivors from England's mining heyday in the 1800s. An intact, tabular, doubly terminated, grayish blue Barite crystal in an impressive spray of an incredible Barite cluster is on matrix and is of the finest grade. Clusters of this magnitude, size and quality are incredibly rare. A most remarkable feature is that of the proximity of the clusters to each other, amassing into one large stunning piece, rather than spaced small clusters.. This is a very 3-dimensional and sculptural specimen and has a wide rage of presentation. The crystals here are composed of individuals that are sharp and mainly doubly terminated, with some sword-tip terminations and thin, tabular bladed crystals. It embodies an incredible luster and translucency. Fine pieces like this one are hard to find, and most are damaged, small and colorless. They are definitely one of the finest Barite discoveries when it comes down to size of crystals, color, luster and aesthetics. All crystals are in pristine condition.
