This piece features genuine Belemnite and Ammonite fossils embedded within. These pale prehistoric remnants stand out in definition against the dark shale.

Ammonites and Belemnites are extinct species of Orthoceras, an ancient relative to the modern-day Cephalopod (squids or nautilus). Orthoceras fossilize over a limestone bed and have an estimated age of about 370 million years, hailing from the Devonian Epoch.
