This is a great shop. They have a very good collection. Some of the items can be displayed as artwork such as fish fossils in beautiful light slate stone. They now have a 'crack your geode' machine. You get to pick your own geode from a barrel full of it and break one open for $25. Our chosen geode had calcite crystals. It had a small pocket and the staff offered to let us choose another one. It is a kind gesture and a helpful one if you have kids with you. Kids will absolutely love this experience!

This place is the best. It is actually better than the gem room at AMNH because the employees here have a deep knowledge of all of the minerals that they sell. Bonus is that you can crack your geode (a MUCH cooler souvenir than the t-shirts and toys at the museum)
