This is a fine specimen of a dense cluster of deeply pigmented cavansite balls on a lustrous stilbite matrix out of the famous and now-inactive mines of Wagholi in Pune, India. This specimen offers abundant intact balls of gemmy, deeply pigmented blue cavansite dipped in druze on an equally druzy backdrop of large, textural, white stilbite crystals. Cavansite is an uncommon secondary mineral that crystallizes a rich blue color with a slight green tint. This tint distinguishes it from the pure blue pentagonite with which it is polymorphic. Cavansite forms at lower temperatures than pentagonite and often in association with zeolite minerals like the stilbite on this cabinet size collector's specimen.

Dimensions: 8”W x 3-3/4”D x 6-3/4”H, Weight: 7.99 lb.
