This is not your average trilobite. This specimen of the Burmeisterella genus was unearthed in Alnif, Morocco and hails from the Devonian period 419.2 to 358.9 million years ago. The genus is known for its large proportions and this incredibly well preserved specimen is no exception, maintaining the exquisitely intricate features of the fully intact trilobite in macroscopic detail. The piece is well positioned on the matrix for three dimensional viewing. This former oceanic predator will make an unusually excellent addition to any fossil collection.
