Barite

Original price was: $3,500.00.Current price is: $2,450.00.

Cumberland, England

A historic old classic, these barites are immediately recognizable as survivors from England’s mining heyday in the 1800s. An intact, tabular, doubly terminated, grayish blue barite crystal in an impressive spray of an incredible barite cluster is on matrix and is of the finest grade. Clusters of this magnitude and quality are incredibly rare. A most remarkable feature is the proximity of the clusters to each other. They amass into one stunningly large piece rather than spaced small clusters. This is a very three-dimensional and sculptural specimen and has a wide rage of presentation. The crystals here are composed of sharp individuals that are mainly doubly terminated, with some sword-tip terminations and thin, tabular bladed crystals. It embodies an incredible luster and translucency. Fine pieces like this one are hard to find, with most specimens out there presenting as damaged, small and colorless. This is definitely one of the finest barite discoveries when it comes down to size of crystals, color, luster, and aesthetics. All crystals are in pristine condition.
