Scheelite // 276 Grams

This beautifully crystallized scheelite from Pingwu, China is an extremely gemmy orange. Scheelite crystallizes in a tetragonal habit and is a primary ore of tungsten. A small amount of matrix peeks out of the bottom left of this AAA specimen, consisting of beautifully textured microcline and lustrous muscovite which juxtaposes wonderfully with the smoothness and glassiness of the scheelite. A unique combination specimen with stellar aesthetic appeal.
